The truck drivers will kneel before the mighty power of the administrative state, or the truckers will be ignored; it matters not. The families of Canadian politicians can have their goods delivered from anywhere with taxpayer funds. The empty stores and supply chain disruptions will not be permitted to affect the powdered class.
CANADA – The federal government says it will not back down on its vaccination rule for cross-border truckers despite entrenched opposition from some drivers and groups claiming to represent their interests.
In a joint media statement released today, Transport Minister Omar Alghabra, Labour Minister Seamus O’Regan, Employment Minister Carla Qualtrough and Stephen Laskowski, the president of the Canadian Trucking Alliance (CTA), said COVID-19 vaccines are the “most effective tool to reduce the risk of COVID-19” and protect public health.
In an interview with CBC’s Power & Politics, Alghabra said the government is not interested in alternatives like rapid testing for unvaccinated truckers. Second. There were never really any opportunities to shift. By opportunities I mean actual bills that would’ve changed drastically the way SS was collected, used as a general fund slush fund and how it was used as a catch all for quite a while anytime they wanted to spend some money on retirees. (especially federal employees). They did this thru making sure anyone with connections and knew the ins and outs could qualify for disability until they could then claim their retirement. This was mostly done by civil servants in the various governmental agencies both state and city. With a neat little trick in that the Federal employees didn’t have to contribute to SS so they could create their own retirement fund that wasn’t going to be touched by Congress.
Meanwhile none of us boomers had a chance unless we made in excess of what was taken to invest in a retirement fund separate from the gov’s forced one.
Meanwhile they raided the fund so that now there’s less than a decade to go before it’s defunct and what happens after that and before is a good question that no one wants to answer or even acknowledge. That’s why the large numbers lately in the budgets. They want to soak up as much as they can and get out and move to some over shore Island somewhere and fort up in anticipation of the coming economic crash.
