Shocking video shows British cops confront a man who claims he tested positive for the coronavirus as he casually strolls down a shopping area — with an officer screaming, “You are killing people!”
“You’ve got it? So you’ve got COVID-19?” one of four officers on bicycles was heard asking as he repeatedly backed away from the man who came up close to him in Perth, Scotland.
“GO HOME!” the officer repeatedly yelled, with other officers and a police van surrounding him. “If I see you outside once more you’re getting jail,” he warned.
“You are killing people. You are! GO HOME!” the cop could then be heard yelling.
The unidentified man — in jeans and a blue top — eventually walked off, just to go up close to one of the other officers amid a lockdown where Britons are only supposed to go out for essential trips. It was not clear what he told the officers to justify being out in public.
“If you continue to walk around you will be arrested,” the initial cop again warned, insisting once more as he strolled off, “You are killing people.”
The officers followed the man as he walked down the street of mostly shuttered stores, much to the chagrin of the videographer.
“The police need to be much tougher in this country … this stuff is only going to get worse,” he said, knocking the cops as ineffective for just “cycling alongside him saying, ‘Go home.'”
