At first I thought this was a parody of news media outlooks. However, once I saw the article [ABC News] I realized it was not a spoof; it’s very real.
The San Francisco news desk of ABC7 actually has a position called “race and social justice reporter” who claims the term “looting” is a politically and culturally incorrect way to describe the looting that has been taking place over the past several days. However, I’m not exactly sure of the journalist’s qualifications for reporting, because he also claims not to be able to see the race of the people doing the actual looting. WATCH:
… In order for the ideological leftists to continue advancing their insane ideology, they have to pretend not to know things. Race and social justice reporter Julian Glover is certainly proving that point by pretending not to see who is doing the robberies.
Sorry, language and tone police. Accd’g to Merriam Webster, “Looting” —something that is stolen or taken by force. If the definition fits…
Trying to understand these complex issues in society? It’s not complex at all. The Marxists and communists are taking over and they need to cause upheaval and chaos. If a person stands for the truth he’s going to go down fast.
What difference does it make, except in the CRT circle of find any excuse to give a pass to a “protected” group of thieves?
Bidens new “inflation”bill includes funding for 87,000 new IRS agents. He will probable assign some of them to track down the pillagers as their ill gotten gains are taxable. Ask Al Capone.
YOU SAY TOMATOE, I SAY TOMATO…..BUT IS SURE AS HELL CALL THEM LOOTERS, AND ALWAYS WILL
So, I guess saying this was some over the top monkey business is a no go then?
Even by the Marxists’ own definition mass shoplifting is looting because the mass looters are exploiting an”emergency,” it just happens to be an emergency of their own creation, which makes their crimes worse, not better
By shoplifting en masse they are creating the disproportion of law-breakers to law-enforcers that defines the typical emergency situation that common looters exploit. The only difference is that instead of exploiting an unrelated circumstance that hobbles law enforcement (power outage, natural disaster, unrelated rioting) they are creating the disaster they exploit.
The proper term would seem to be hyper-looters, or self-spawning looters, or mass looters, or cancerous looters, or auto disastrous cancer looters, haha, something that conveys the correctness of the old laws that used to urge every law abiding citizen to shoot on sight all such participants in and exploiters of the breakdown of law enforcement.
When a mob overwhelms the ability of hired law enforcement to protect people and property that was called “riot” and the law abiding citizenry used to be empowered and urged to step into the breach and use state of nature means (lethal force) to protect people and property until the state of civil society can be restored.
These laws are still in place in some states. When I lived in California stopping riot and looting were still legal grounds for citizens’ arrest and the use of lethal force.
When criminals gang up to create such breakdowns of civil society that does not weaken but strengthens the argument for a state of nature response by all law abiding citizens because there is an additional deterrent that needs to be applied. It isn’t just the exploitation of the breakdown of civil society that has to be stopped but also the the intentional creation of the breakdown in the first place.
Thus by traditional law of reason standards (the law that regulates the state of nature) flash-mob looters should absolutely all be shot on sight, even more so (if such a thing is possible) than looters who exploit blackouts and natural disasters should be shot on sight.
We need to return our legislated law to these law of reason standards, so that when breakdowns of civil society occur law abiding citizens can seal the breach. Otherwise they are forced to sit back and not defend civil order until they are faced with immediate need for self defense, which is insufficient for protecting society.
We are only at the beginning of what breakdowns can be unleashed if the law abiding citizens are not allowed to intervene when criminals plot to outnumber law enforcement. High end department stores are a toe in the water.
I suggest calling them pillagers or plunderers. Goes quite well with Rape, pillage and plunder.
