On Friday, it was revealed that Owen Shroyer, an Infowars host, has been charged in connection to being on the grounds of the Capitol building on Jan. 6 and entering a "restricted area."

According to court documents obtained by Buzzfeed News senior reporter Zoe Tillman, Shroyer appears to have been charged on Thursday for "Knowingly Entering or Remaining in any Restricted Building or Grounds Without Lawful Authority" and "Violent Entry and Disorderly Conduct on Capitol Grounds."

Shroyer was reportedly under a Community Service Deferred Prosecution Agreement in connection to a Dec. 9, 2019, incident based on his disruption of a House Judiciary Committee meeting in which he was observing a Judicial Commission meeting and stood and shouted while the Chairman was talking.

Under the aforementioned DPA, Shroyer agrees not to disrupt Congress proceedings, and to not demonstrate on Capitol grounds.

Shroyer arrived in Washington, DC, ahead of the Jan. 6 planned Trump speech, issuing his own speech in a Freedom Plaza event the day prior on Jan. 5.

"Americans are ready to fight. We're not exactly sure what that's going to look like perhaps in a couple of weeks if we can’t stop this certification of the fraudulent election ... we are the new revolution! We are going to restore and we are going to save the republic!" Shroyer said, according to court documents.

According to the court documents, Shroyer is seen marching to the Capitol from the Ellipse, where a speech from former President Donald Trump was taking place,  shortly before the Capitol building was breached. The documents allege that Shroyer entered restricted grounds, standing near the inauguration stage as well as on the steps of the building's west face.

Shroyer allegedly called into a live broadcast of Infowars on Jan. 6, stating "we got to the Trump rally at about 8:00 am" and then around 2:00 pm "marched to the Capitol." he said he was on "one side of the Capitol, so we can't see both sides, but on this side alone there's probably about 100,000 people. They've taken the Capitol grounds, they've surrounded the building itself, they're on the actual building structure ... We literally own these streets right now."

Shroyer addressed the allegations on Friday, telling viewers of Infowars "ladies and gentlemen, a couple hours ago I was informed by my attorney that there is a warrant out for my arrest with allegations involving Jan. 6, and I will have to turn myself in Monday morning."

"There's a lot of questions, some I have answers to, some I don't. I'm not going to be getting into more of this today on the air, and I plan on declaring innocence of these charges because I am," Shroyer continued.
