  • Both Epstein and Wexner have denied that they had a sexual relationship

Victoria's Secret magnate Leslie Wexner gave Manhattan's largest townhouse to Jeffrey Epstein for just $1, he bragged to one of the pedophile's victims, telling her with a wink: 'He would do anything for me.'

In an exclusive DailyMail.com interview Maria Farmer said Epstein told her about the steal of the century when she was at the seven-story mansion on East 71st Street.

And Farmer believes the relationship between the men was uncharacteristically close as Epstein gloated to her about his good fortune.

'Epstein told me in New York,' Farmer, 52, claimed. 'He said: ''Maria, I got all this for one dollar.''

'He held out his arms, spanning the room, and said, ''Look at all of this.''

'And there are decorators from France coming and going, and you've got all this fabulous food, and maids, and everything, it's just so unbelievable.

'And I said, ''Why? How did you get it for one dollar?'' And he looked at me with the biggest smile, and said, ''Wexner will do anything for me, Maria.''

''And I mean anything.'' Then he winked.'

One of the biggest mysteries in the entire Epstein saga is why such a savvy businessman would have put all his $7.7billion in the hands of a college dropout con artist who had started off as an unqualified physics teacher at a private New York school.

'I do believe they were lovers. That is my opinion. He had a special soft spot for Epstein,' Farmer told DailyMail.com.

The relationship between Wexner, 84, and Epstein is back in the spotlight due to the Hulu documentary Victoria's Secret: Angels and Demons.

The series documents the rise of Wexner, who at his height owned some of the biggest chain of retail stores in the country, including Victoria's Secret, The Limited, Abercrombie & Fitch, Lane Bryant, Express, Bath & Body Works, Lerner and Henri Bendel.

Experts interviewed in the Hulu documentary remain perplexed regarding the nature of their relationship.

Though both Epstein, who died in prison in 2019 aged 66, and Wexner denied ever having a sexual relationship, some interviewed in the docuseries think it could explain the spell Epstein had over the shadowy discreet billionaire.

'Each one must have fulfilled the need of the other,' said Cindy Fields, former Victoria's Secret CEO. 'Wexner had the money that Epstein was seeking— and Wexner got from Epstein the glamour and smoothness that he was seeking.

'I am not at all inferring that it was a sexual need... but there was something there.'

Anti-trafficking expert Conchita Sarnoff also hinted in the documentary at the idea of Wexner and Epstein being extraordinarily close.

'I also believed they had a complicated relationship,' she said. 'Financially, personally... and in many other ways.'

Wexner was Epstein's only publicly named client and it was through him that the convicted sex offender amassed his $55million fortune that allowed him to buy Little St. James, his private island in the Caribbean, his over-the-top Zorro Ranch south of Santa Fe, New Mexico and his private Boeing 727 that journalists dubbed the Lolita Express.

'Leslie Wexner funded Epstein's entire operation,' Farmer said. 'I know because Epstein told me.

'Ghislaine and Epstein said: ''We work for Les Wexner,''' she added referring to Epstein's right-hand woman Ghislaine Maxwell.

Farmer said she asked Epstein about his business life. 'I said, ''How many clients do you have? It seems like you have so much free time for someone in finance.''

'He said, ''Maria, when Leslie Wexner is your client, you only need one client.'''

Wexner claimed in 2019, soon after Epstein was arrested as he landed his private plane at Teterboro Airport in New Jersey, that the pedophile 'misappropriated vast sums of money.'

He said he discovered the misappropriation in 2007 shortly after Epstein was first arrested for child sex crimes. 'It was agreed that he should step back from the management of our personal finances, Wexner said in a letter to the Wexner Foundation.

'In that process, we discovered that he had misappropriated vast sums of money from me and my family. This was, frankly, a tremendous shock, even though it clearly pales in comparison to the unthinkable allegations against him now.'

But that was only after years of their very close friendship, which even included Wexner giving Epstein one of his most prized possessions, Farmer said.

'Wexner loved his cars,' Farmer said in her DailyMail.com interview. 'He loved his cars more than anything in the world.

'Nobody touched his cars. You're not allowed to touch these cars, but there was one car that no one was ever allowed to even breathe near, it was his baby, it was priceless. I can't remember which one.

'Epstein tells the story that when he and Wexner had just started working together, Epstein walks in and says, ''Oh, wow, man, I really like that car.''

''It's yours,'' says Wexner.'

Wexner's passion for classic motors hit the headlines eight years ago, when he purchased a $16.5million 1954 Ferrari 375-Plus from British auctioneers Bonhams - the highest ever for a road legal vehicle in the UK – but then sued over issues with the car's ownership history.

Wexner also has the biggest private Picasso collection and once said of his love of cars and art: 'My Picassos and Ferraris – those are kind of just toys.

'Those aren't the things that matter. What matters in the car collecting or the art collecting is to learn about it, and then actually not the acquisition but to put them into a collection that I think is curated.

Farmer said in an affidavit submitted in one Epstein-related lawsuit that she was held 'prisoner' at Wexner's luxury 336-acre estate in New Albany, Ohio, a suburb of Columbus.

She believes she was used by Epstein so he could get close to her younger sister Annie, then 16, who was later molested at Epstein's New Mexico ranch.

'I was taken there, so that Epstein could then take Annie. It was all about keeping us separate, but I think it was also about traumatizing me, so that they have power over me.

'Even though I was physically assaulted, it was the psychological part that was so damaging for me.'

Trapped in the guesthouse, she painted her pain away. After Epstein and Maxwell visited one night and assaulted her, Farmer had nowhere to run.

'I called the sheriff's office, I called 911, they hung up on me.

'Here's the most bizarre part about it, I never met the Wexners the whole time I was there. My bedroom was so close to their main house and I even drew pictures of it. There were three bodyguards, three sharp shooters and a pack of Dobermans guarding me in the guest house.

The New York Academy of Arts graduate said she was recruited as Epstein's receptionist in 1995 when she was 25, and then taken to Wexner's estate to be the 'resident artist.'

Instead, she said, she was held hostage for three months, guarded by 'sharp shooters and packs of Dobermans.'

She was then sexually abused by Epstein and Maxwell when they came to visit.

Farmer was the original whistleblower on Epstein after she was picked out to work as the receptionist and 'in-house artist' at his New York office after she graduated from the NYAA, where he was a donor.

She said she was interviewed for the Hulu documentary on Wexner, but was disappointed with the way that she was treated and doesn't believe that anyone has so far gotten close to discovering the true nature of Wexner and Epstein's relationship.

'The producers wanted it to be a very easy, digestible version of how Leslie Wexner is connected to Jeffrey Epstein. It's a soft take,' said Farmer.

'Hulu says that it digs into Victoria's Secret's connections to lead to Jeffrey Epstein. I'm sorry, the name is Leslie Wexner. His name is not Victoria's Secret. Victoria's Secret is the company. It had no real connection to Jeffrey Epstein.

'The producer courted me for a while, and I didn't want to do it at all. They didn't know how to handle people who have suffered any kind of tragedy.'

Farmer has lived reclusively and the stress of her ordeal is thought to have brought on a brain tumor, which she's had for more than 20 years. She is now also battling lymphoma, which has spread across her chest and surrounded her heart.

For Wexner's role in the sordid Epstein tale, Farmer wants to see justice.

She says: 'I have, for 26 years, tried to get anybody to listen about Leslie Wexner and his power. I want justice.

'I have a brain tumor, that man owns a medical center. I am a talented artist, that man owns art museums. I can't get a gallery, that man owns half the art world.

'I'm not saying this to get anything out of it, but I'm saying the injustice in this case, is so grotesque and over the top.

'What I'm telling you is that there has been no justice yet. We have just seen Ghislaine Maxwell put away for 20 years, I can go outside now, I can walk around, I know I'm not going to get shot in the back of the head. Great.

'But justice is when we get them all.'
