The number of Americans trapped in Afghanistan is actually unknown. According to Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby, somewhere around 5,000 to 10,000 are known, but the number could be 20,000. Those U.S. citizens are not at the airport in Kabul, and need to reach the airport in order to be evacuated.
Several media reports outline that the Taliban have checkpoints around the airport presumably looking for people who were aligned with the former government. Unfortunately, given the nature of media bias and previous propaganda, it is challenging to determine the level of risk or threat to any American. There have been no reports of Americans killed or taken hostage. Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby outlines the current priority is to secure the airport, that’s what the additional troops are intended to do. WATCH:

Mark Levin made an excellent point on the radio. Where are the 500 parade generals from both parties that endorsed Joe Biden. Where’s Mattis and Kelly who couldn’t contain themselves from criticizing President Trump, you don’t hear a peep out of them. See, like all professions, in Generalship there are very few men of quality; most of them are fat spoiled bureaucrats to the utmost degree. We all think of MacArthur or Patton extraordinary men; but the culture is a flock of chickens; while our eagle of a President Donald J. Trump was circling above them.
You know what else Levin said; “Today 20years later after Trillions of dollars and thousands of Lives the Taliban has more land in Afghanistan than they did on 911, 2001. That says it all about the political and military leadership in this Country, it’s beyond incompetent it’s a disgrace to the Lord Most High and humanity.
And like Levin said none of these parade generals will be held accountable, no not one. They’ll probably get some sick enjoyment in finding some Sargent somewhere who had nothing to do with anything and blame the whole fiasco on him; then put him in Leavenworth for twenty years.
Another complete waste by our government; just like everything they do for the last 50 years. Is it time to clean house or what.
