The FDNY has confirmed that a viral video showing a man walking the street with a knife lodged in the top of his head is indeed real.

Roberto Perez, 36, appeared unfazed as he walked around with a large knife protruding from his head. The injury was allegedly the result of a stabbing that occurred during a domestic violence incident with two other individuals said the NYPD, according to FOX News.

“He looked like he didn’t even feel it,” a witness who refused to be identified told reporters, according to Fox. “The guy was refusing to go inside the ambulance.”

The stabbing incident reportedly took place near East 125th Street and Lexington Avenue in East Harlem, according to authorities, FOX reported. (RELATED: New York City Shootings Surge 358% Compared To Last Year Amid Disbanding Of Anti-Crime Police Unit)

The NYPD said Perez and a 34-year-old woman were fighting with a third male subject, who slashed the woman across the cheek and then stabbed Perez in the head before fleeing the scene, according to Fox.

A doctor at Harlem Hospital said Perez was being treated in the intensive care unit and the female was also taken to the hospital, according to the NY Post. The physician said they both appeared to be on drugs.

Authorities said Perez was listed in stable condition and escaped serious harm because the blade did not penetrate his skull, according to the NY Post.
