Indiana Election Commission’s video meeting gets hacked with porno video

A hacker interrupted an Indiana Election Commission public video conference Friday and posted a pornographic video, according to a report.

The meeting — held on video platform Zoom — resumed after the racy interlude, an ABC affiliate first reported.

“Holy moly. Indiana Election Commission meeting had just started on Zoom when someone switched video to them masturbating,” Mary Beth Schneider, an editor for TheStateHouseFile.com, tweeted. “My eyes! My eyes!”

“It was member of public who had joined Zoom meeting & turned on their video,” Schneider clarified.

The tweet prompted a slew of sexual innuendos.

One person jokingly responded, “That was the Indiana Erection Commission ma’am.”

“Meeting have a happy ending?” another person quipped.

The commission was discussing emergency measures for the rescheduled primary election, ABC’s local WPTA 21 said.

The hack is part of a new phenomenon called “Zoom bombing” that the FBI has recently warned about, according to the news outlet.

A Zoom spokeswoman said the company was “deeply upset” by hacking incidents.

“Zoom strongly condemns such behavior and recently updated several features to help our users more easily protect their meetings,” the spokeswoman said.

The company has issued a number of resource guides to help users up their security:

Zoom tweeted on April 10 a graphic that outlined the top 10 ways for users to secure their meetings.

Two recent Zoom blogs detail security updates and offer guidance on preventing uninvited guests from crashing Zoom meetings.
