Fedorov highlighted the benefits of the Diia app, stating, “You have biometric data, all of which is compared with the demographic registry in real-time. And this leads to the fact that Diia is a product where anyone can verify a document using their phone camera.”

In late March, Mstyslav Banik, the Head of Electronic Services Development at the Ministry of Digital Transformation, revealed that the number of unique Diia users had increased by approximately 2.85 million (18%) since the full-scale invasion by Russia, reaching 18.6 million. This number represents more than half of Ukraine’s adult population.

The Diia app offers 29 services and the ability to process 14 e-documents. Notably, the Digital Signature service in Diia has been installed on over 6.8 million devices and has been utilized more than 11 million times.

In addition, 1.2 million entrepreneurs have used Diia to declare their taxes, resultingin 1.2 billion UAH ($32.5 million) in tax payments. Furthermore, 530 companies are registered in the Diia.City tax mode, contributing approximately $100 million in taxes in 2022.

Fedorov mentioned that over 12.6 million votes have been cast on various issues through Diia.

“Another opportunity to use these services is to express one’s opinion on a proposed bill. We talked to people, talked about allowing people to vote on a bill,” noted the Vice Prime Minister.

Moreover, Diia has issued over 14.8 million medical certificates.

Additionally, 947 families have received loans totaling 1.2 billion UAH ($32.5 million) under the framework of preferential mortgages for military personnel, medical professionals, teachers, and scientists.

There have also been 376,550 applications filed for destroyed housing and 12,271 applications for financial assistance.

It was previously reported that Diia will be implemented in Colombia and Zambia. Negotiations are currently underway regarding exporting the platform to 10 more countries.
