Elon Musk has joined in on calls to investigate investing app Robinhood over their decision to block retail investors from purchasing certain companies' shares that has been targeted for purchase by online communities such as Reddit.

"We need to know more about @RobinhoodApp’s decision to block retail investors from purchasing stock while hedge funds are freely able to trade the stock as they see fit," tweeted Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, to which Musk responded "Absolutely."

Musk has been a promoter of Reddit 'stonk' investing wave. When GameStop stocks originally ballooned past the $140 mark, Musk tweeted "Gamestonk!!," along with the wallstreetbets subreddit. The stock then ballooned to an astonishing $200 in after hour trading, and opening the next day at $351.
