Pizza Hut Goes ‘Full Woke,’ Recommending Drag Queen Books For Kids As Young As Five

Pizza Hut is now featuring a book about “drag kids” as part of its “Book It!” reading incentive program for pre-kindergarten through 6th-grade children.

The “Book It!” website features a book titled “Big Wig” and states that it is recommended for children ages four through nine.

“Big Wig” is a picture book that “celebrates drag kids,” according to the Simon & Schuster website description.

The book’s description on the publisher’s site says that the book is about a child who “dresses in drag” to compete in a neighborhood costume competition.

“When a child dresses in drag to compete in a neighborhood costume competition, he becomes B. B. Bedazzle! A key part of B.B. Bedazzle’s ensemble is a wig called Wig. Together they are an unstoppable drag queen team! But Wig feels inadequate compared to the other, bigger wigs. When Wig flies off B. B.’s head, she goes from kid to kid, instilling confidence and inspiring dreams in those who wear her,” the description continues.

“Big Wig” is being featured as part of Pride Month according to the company’s “Book It!” program.

As part of the program, children are rewarded with a free personal pan pizza when they complete the suggested reading.

Critics have begun to speak up about the “woke” move by the legacy American food establishment.

American Conservative Union Chairman Matt Schlapp tweeted, “Pizza Hut was started in Wichita and mostly funded by Kansans these folks would be appalled that their amazing American success story is part of the effort to destroy America and her children.”

He went on to say that companies “need to realize we won’t use their products any longer,” referring to the tension of such progressive ideologies.

Pizza Hut has run its reading program year-round, partnering with schools during the school year since 1984. Children are allowed to read a book of their choosing and receive a certificate for a free pizza if they complete the book within the month. The restaurant has dubbed itself a “literacy motivator” in its Twitter bio.

Pizza Hut’s parent corporation, Yum! Brands, which also owns Taco Bell and KFC, has been a staunch supporter of President Biden’s political initiatives.
