Baase says the reason he has submitted this petition because of several executive orders signed by the governor beginning on March 10.

Now, Baase has to collect 1,062,647 valid signatures in a 60-day window over the course of the next 180 days in order for the recall to be triggered.

The Board of State Canvassers approved the language with a vote of 4-0.

In the same Board of State Canvassers there was another recall petition against Whitmer, which was not passed.

The board also did not pass a recall petition on Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel.
