Man Arrested In NH For Falsely Claiming He Had Coronavirus

LEBANON, NH (CBS) – A Vermont man is accused of trying to scare people by telling them he had the coronavirus. Police arrested David Ladeau in Lebanon, NH on Tuesday.

Ladeau was on a public bus, allegedly telling other passengers he was infected. Other passengers evacuated but Ladeau remained on the bus until police arrived.

Police said Ladeau, who is from Hartford, VT, does not have the virus. He was arrested and charged with false public alarm and disorderly conduct.
